In a move that underscores his unwavering dedication to Donald Trump's presidency, Congressman Matt Gaetz announced his decision to withdraw from consideration as Attorney General. The Florida conservative, known for his steadfast loyalty to Trump and bold advocacy for America First policies, emphasized that his confirmation process risked delaying the critical work of the Trump/Vance administration.

“I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday,” I appreciate their thoughtful feedback – and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I’ll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General.” Gaetz said

This selfless decision reflects Gaetz’s prioritization of the nation’s needs over personal ambition. His withdrawal ensures that the Department of Justice will be fully operational on Day One of Trump’s second term, ready to execute the administration's bold agenda to restore law and order, defend American values, and fight corruption in Washington.

Trump’s nomination of Gaetz had been hailed by conservatives as a strategic choice. Gaetz has been a vocal critic of the political establishment, a champion of holding the federal government accountable, and a fierce defender of the Constitution. His willingness to step aside to protect the efficiency of Trump’s transition speaks volumes about his character and commitment to the cause.

“I remain fully committed to seeing that Donald J. Trump is the most successful President in history,” Gaetz added. “I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice, and I’m certain he will Save America.”

While Gaetz steps back from the nomination, his presence and influence within Trump’s circle remain significant. His commitment to supporting the president and advancing the America First agenda will undoubtedly continue to shape the conservative movement.

This moment solidifies Gaetz not only as a loyal Trump ally but as a team player who prioritizes the success of the nation over personal recognition. His decision ensures that the momentum of the Trump presidency will not be slowed, paving the way for a triumphant start to a historic administration.
